At Naturalistas®, we believe every child should see themselves reflected in the dolls they play with. That’s why we created a line of multicultural dolls and accessories that promote diversity, inclusion, and positive self-image.
Our Story
The idea for Naturalistas® first came about when our founder, Jada Jones, was shopping for a birthday gift for her niece. Jada searched toy aisles far and wide but struggled to find dolls that looked like her niece – a dark-skinned girl with beautiful curly hair. Disappointed but inspired, Jada began sketching doll concepts and researching doll production. Her vision? Create realistic multicultural dolls and accessories that celebrate the unique beauty of all girls.
In early 2019, after much hard work and determination, Naturalistas® was born. Based in Los Angeles, our small start-up launched with an inaugural collection of dolls with a variety of skin tones, hair types, and contemporary fashions. We promoted diversity not only in doll design, but also in naming – choosing culturally-relevant names like Nia, Lakira, and Sofia for our first dolls.
News of our dolls’ refreshing authenticity spread quickly. By the end of our first year, we were being sold in select boutiques, bookstores, and toy stores across the country. We had also expanded our catalog to include dress-up and accessory packs for imaginative role play. It was clear that we had struck a chord with our mission to provide all girls with dolls they could identify with.
Today our Naturalistas® dolls and accessories can be found in major retailers across the United States and beyond. With collections like Amazing Athletes, Brilliant Ballerinas, and Fabulous Fashionistas, we provide endless stories for girls to tell. And with our growing, inclusive lineup of dolls, we help foster positive self-image in girls of all backgrounds.
Our Dolls
At the heart of Naturalistas® are our line of 18″ multicultural fashion dolls, meant to provide girls ages 5+ with diverse representations. Available in 7 skin tones and 22 face sculpts, our dolls allow every girl to find a doll that looks like her.
Each doll has a unique combination of physical attributes – from skin, eye, and hair color to face mold and texture. All dolls have rooted hairstyles (not wigs) showcasing a variety of braided, curly, wavy, and straight textures. Outfits are fashion-forward but age-appropriate, made from high-quality fabrics.
Doll names like Zahra, Lupita, Yesenia, Ming, and more reflect a multicultural sensibility. Our current 18″ doll lineup includes:
- The Core Collection – Our classic assortment of diverse dolls with trendy fashions
- Brilliant Ballerinas – Dolls dressed as ballerinas with tutus and ballet accessories
- Amazing Athletes – Active dolls ready to play sports with jerseys, shoes and gear
- Fabulous Fashionistas – Dolls modeling stylish outfits and accessories for role play fun
- Beautiful Brides – Special occasion dolls dressed in wedding gowns and bridal wear
- Toddler Dolls – Cute baby doll versions of our 18″ dolls
In 2019 we also introduced a line of 12.5” Mini Dolls – smaller versions of our 18” dolls with the same diversity of skin tones, facial features and hairstyles. Mini dolls have molded hair and come dressed in graphic t-shirts and jeans.
No matter their collection, each Naturalistas® doll comes packaged in a decorative gift box with a certificate of authenticity – perfect for gift-giving or collecting!
Our Accessories
In addition to dolls, we also create fashion and accessory packs that encourage creativity and roleplay. With outfit changes, girls can act out unlimited stories with their Naturalistas® dolls. Accessory packs also allow for mixing and matching looks.

- Baby Packs – Onesies, blankets, bottles and accessories for nurturing baby dolls
We also offer themed playsets like our Hospital Nursery with doctor tools and baby essentials, or Hair Salon with styling tools and shampoos – perfect for sparking imaginations.

Since Naturalistas® debuted, we’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our fans.
Parents tell us how happy they are to finally find dolls their daughters can identify with. Kids mail us fan art of their favorite Naturalistas® characters. Social media followers tag us daily with pictures of girls enjoying our products.
This community enthusiasm only reinforces the need for dolls reflecting more backgrounds. It motivates us to keep expanding our selection and make an even broader range of girls feel recognized.
